The Big Dry-Off

The Big Dry-Off is a classic-style drying coat made from dense, super-absorbent microfibre towelling. Slip it on the moment you get back, and it gets to work soaking up the wet while your dog settles, instead of you spending ten minutes wrestling with a towel.

Sizing

Measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. That's the most reliable guide. The chest measurement is the maximum the belly band will fasten around.

• Small: coat length 40cm, chest up to 70cm, approx. 7–12kg. Beagle, Corgi, Cocker Spaniel, Westie
• Medium: coat length 50cm, chest up to 85cm, approx. 12–25kg. Springer Spaniel, Border Collie, Staffy, Whippet
• Large: coat length 60cm, chest up to 100cm, approx. 25–35kg. Labrador, Golden Retriever, Boxer
• XL: coat length 75cm, chest up to 110cm, approx. 35–45kg. German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Malamute

Advanced FAQ

How is this different from The Big Wrap?
The Big Wrap is a hooded robe for smaller dogs. The Big Dry-Off is a classic drying coat with a stand-up collar and wide belly band, in four colours and sizes up to XL for big breeds.

How long should I leave it on?
Most owners pop it on straight after the walk and leave it on while their dog settles. Heavier or double coats take longer, so leave it on until the fur feels just damp, then take it off and let it air.

How do I wash it?
Wash on a cool, gentle cycle and skip the fabric softener, which coats microfibre and reduces how much water it absorbs. Fasten the velcro before washing so it doesn't snag other items.

Is it waterproof?
No, it's designed to absorb water, not keep rain out. For wet-weather walks, use a waterproof coat on the way and The Big Dry-Off once you're back.

My dog doesn't like wearing things. Will this work?
There's nothing to step into: it goes over the head and fastens under the belly. Introduce it with treats and praise, and most dogs quickly learn it means walk's over and it's time to get cosy.
